TPC EVENT // 6 SEPTEMBER 2015

TPC MASTER CLASS

WHAT WAS INVOLVED?

CLIENT: The Perth Collective

CONCEPT, EVENT MANAGEMENT, INFLUENCER ENGAGEMENT + HOSTING: Nikki Milne @ The Perth Collective

What a huge success, our second event for TPC Tribe. We gathered over breakfast on Father’s Day to share, connect and inspire each other. Over 35 Individual Small Creative Female-Owned Businesses collaborated to pull together an incredibly stylish event.

Thank you to the Styling & Florist Creatives that transformed the Fraser’s venue:
Floral State & Popping Cork EventsTrend Events & Bowerbird FloristHobnob Parties & Green Vase FloristFlowers by JanieBride & Groom for the stage furniture and Moss and Fern for the stage blooms.

The room was abuzz with energy as women networked and spoke to each other explaining their businesses. I (Nikki Milne) spoke on stage, hopefully answering some of the most-asked questions like, 'How many times do you post to Instagram per day? What are the peak times to post? How do we use hashtags?' From the response afterwards, I gathered it had been helpful to many when trying to navigate the world of social media.

Next up, we had our Guest Panel of WA Female Business Owners:
Lanna Hill from Lanna Hill Personal Training & One Small Step Coaching
Amy Marvelli from Body Wisdom Mount Hawthorn
Elisa Langer from Cinque Candle Co
Kate Illarietti from Lock & Key Clothing

We discuss topics such as their favourite ways to market their businesses, what they have found challenging when owning their own businesses, how they reward staff and client loyalty, plus who they admire in WA business. These ladies did a wonderful job, although nervous, they all spoke amazingly well.

The dessert bar, designed and Styled by Trend Events with Flowers by Janie, was the talk of the morning. Perfectly balanced and brimming with incredible desserts from Bites By D, My Petites Sweets, Sugar & Salt Cookies, Cakery Road, Wonderland Catering Creations, Margurerite Cakes, Major & Morsel Food Co, Sav Loves Cakes and Ce C’s Cakes. Wooden Signage was custom-made by Etched and Tea by Perth-based Teassentials.

The Menus were created by Monkey Business Design and the Place Cards and Seating Chart by Willow Lane Designs.

And lastly, who doesn’t love a gift bag!! Thank you to all the small businesses that gifted including Rafters Aerial Fitness for the socks, Nestle & Porter for the customised TPC Note Books, Peticakes, Mandalachai, Amaze Balls, TOMS Organic, That Girl Boo for the awesome and inspiring quotes, Jolimont Skincare Clinic, Media Freedom Designs for the beautiful Cards, The Prospect Project for the yummy Granola and WASP for the Lashes!

And a special mention to Ebony Sugg Photographer for all these beautiful photos from the event! Also to my girlfriends I call upon to help at 7am on a Sunday morning: Zoe Dimech (The Positive Psychologist), Tahnee Robinson (Tahnee.Mae.Design) and Tahnee Harris (Harris & Hunter).
